This is why 88% of state CIOs are expediting cloud adoption in their operations, according to a recent survey by the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) and Accenture.

Migrating to the cloud can provide exponential gains in simplicity, security, and scalability in SLTT organizations' infrastructures, which in turn can build confidence, trust, and reliability across the organization. However, SLTTs need to also factor in security and compliance of their assets when they start planning their cloud adoption. Many struggle to keep their data safe after having migrated to the cloud. A report from IBM revealed that 82% of data breaches in 2023 involved data stored in the cloud, signaling a lack of robust cloud security measures.
