Kimberly K. Watson
Senior Program Advisor, Operations and Security Services, Center for Internet Security (CIS)
Kimberly K. Watson is the Senior Program Advisor, Operations and Security Services at the Center for Internet Security (CIS) and is a thought leader in the areas of cybersecurity and operational risk management. Prior to joining CIS, she was the Technical Director for the Integrated Adaptive Cyber Defense (IACD) portfolio at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. During this time, IACD became the trusted and authoritative voice for cybersecurity orchestration and was influential in the establishment of the Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) market. Ms. Watson was a technical leader for the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Network Resilience (FNR) from 2013-2015. Prior to her DHS role, she was the Technical Director of the Technology Analysis Office, Information Assurance Directorate (IAD), National Security Agency (NSA). Ms. Watson spent more than 25 years at NSA specializing in vulnerability discovery, technology evaluation, and operational risk assessment.
