Community Defense Against Ransomware

If you talk to IT leaders in state or local government, or higher education, you'll hear that cybersecurity is one of their top priorities. In a space that moves so fast and effects so many, there are two common challenges security staff are faced with. The first is the feeling of isolation in knowing that they face common cyber threats, like ransomware, alone in their resource-constrained and limited-staff offices. The second is a general feeling of being overwhelmed by the new varieties of cyber-attacks discovered each day.

This virtual Cybersecurity Modernization Summit brought together cybersecurity leaders to explore the ongoing challenge of cybersecurity in the state and local government and higher education communities. The discussions focused on the continuous battle in protecting critical infrastructure and constituent data with a focus on lessons learned about the ever-changing cyber landscape.

Listen* to Josh Moulin, Senior Vice President and Acting General Manager of Operations and Security Services talk about how CIS can help ease these challenges and offer defense against ransomware.
