The following CIS Benchmarks have been updated or recently released. We've highlighted the major updates below. Each Benchmark includes a full changelog that references all changes.

CIS Bottlerocket Benchmark v1.0.0

The first-version release of this Benchmark covers all official releases of Bottlerocket, starting with version 1.9.0. A special thanks to Ben Cressey and to all in the community who participated in the development!

CIS Microsoft Azure Foundations Benchmark v1.5.0

Here is some of what’s new/changed in this release:

  • Updated multiple audit and remediation steps to match changes in Azure
  • Increased coverage of Audit and Remediation Procedures for Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Rest API
  • Added 32 new recommendations including expanded recommendation coverage in the following sections:
    • Identity and Access Management
    • Conditional Access Policies
    • Microsoft Defender for Cloud
    • Database Services (Including Cosmos DB)
    • Log Analytics
    • Key Vault
  • Updated and added MITRE mappings

  • Added five new recommendations
  • Updated multiple MITRE mappings
