An Inside Look at the CIS Rebranding Initiative
Here at CIS, we’ve been hard at work updating our branding to reflect our evolving mission, growing business and expanding list of products, services and partnerships. The updated branding reflects CIS’ long-standing commitment to sharing collective knowledge and innovation and its ability to help members and clients move from compliance to confidence.
So, what can you expect?
Our multi-stage branding rollout begins with a shift from “The Center for Internet Security” to “CIS” (as many of you have already come to know us). As such, we’ve created a new logo: the gradated swirls of the new logo reflect the power of our global community that’s focused on the shared mission of improving cybersecurity. The CIS monogram is set in a strong Capitolium font to represent CIS’ strength and commitment to our mission.
You’ll see this fresh, modern look on our website and social media platforms starting today.
More than just looks
In addition to these visual updates, CIS is also announcing a new tagline today: “Confidence In the Connected World.” We chose this tagline to represent our commitment to cybersecurity. We believe everyone deserves a secure online experience, whether you depend on the CIS Benchmarks for your system configuration, use the CIS Controls to guide your security strategy, rely on MS-ISAC advisories to safeguard your systems, or enjoy one of the many other offerings we provide.
What’s not changing
Although we’re excited about the new look at CIS, we want to assure you that our mission and commitment to community-driven cybersecurity resources remain foundational to our identity. Moving forward, you can expect the same drive and dedication to understanding evolving threats and providing timely responses to cyber attacks that you’ve come to know in our 15-year history.
The road ahead
We’re not stopping with a new logo and tagline – keep a lookout in the months ahead as we refine and evolve our branding and offerings. “The new branding will be a phased implementation over the coming months that will touch nearly every facet of our business,” said Kerry Coffey, Senior V.P. of Business Development. “All these positive changes – our growth, our mission, and now our evolved branding – are empowering us at CIS.”
This is an exciting time at CIS, and we look forward to having you along as we continue to release new products, services, and branding initiatives.
