CIS Cares Highlights Volunteer Activities for the First Half of 2024

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., Aug. 13, 2024 – CIS Cares, the employee volunteer program at the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®), is proud to share the impactful results of its initiatives and charitable contributions for the first half of 2024.

Activities for Q1 focused on support of animals, with more than $4,000 raised for 4 Paws for Ability, Operation at Ease, Adirondack Region Cat Adoption Center (North Shore Animal League), and Homeward Bound Dog Rescue. One of the highlights has been receiving monthly "pup-dates"; from Meredith, CIS's service dog in training, as she grows and learns how to help her human companions at 4 Paws for Ability.

Q2 efforts were dedicated to resource conservation, with more than $2,000 contributed to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint, Michigan. CIS employees participated in community volunteer efforts, as well as supported the club's Nature and Wellness program for sustainable gardening practices that conserve resources and promote local food production.

In addition, since CIS employees are largely remote, many participate in community service activities in their hometowns. Nearly 800 volunteer hours have been logged in support of Career Village, National Historic Marker Day, Shenendehowa Central School's Science and Health Discovery Night, Orlando Rescue Mission, Girl Scouts, Feeding America, The Smithsonian, and more.

CIS Cares is committed to making a positive impact in communities across the United States through volunteerism and charitable giving. The efforts for the first half of 2024 reflect the company's dedication to supporting the themes of animals and resource conservation, while the second half of the year will focus on the themes of education and community.
