CIS Cares Announces Q3 TeachRock and Kids In Need Foundation Donations

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., Nov. 19, 2024 — CIS Cares, the philanthropic arm of the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®), is proud to announce its third-quarter donations for 2024. True to the mission to leverage the skills, time, and resources of our organization and its people to produce positive and impactful outcomes within our communities and across the country, CIS Cares has committed significant contributions to two impactful organizations: TeachRock and the Kids in Need Foundation.

TeachRock, a nationally recognized educational resource, uses the power of music to engage TeachRock logo students in learning. Their unique use of music culture and history has made a significant impact on schools nationwide, broadening young minds and inspiring creativity amongst students. CIS staff raised more than $1,500 to support the development and distribution of curriculum on the sounds, sciences, and stories of music.

Kids in Need Foundation logoCIS Cares also raised $800 for the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), an organization committed to creating equitable learning environments for teachers and students in under-resourced communities. CIS Cares purchased essential supplies and resources from the KINF Donations Wishlist, ensuring students were ready to learn as the new school year began.

"We genuinely believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity for a quality education,” said Randy Rose, Q3 CIS Cares Campaign Chair. “These donations are part of our commitment to investing in educational initiatives that create substantial change and improvement where it matters most – with our children.”

CIS Cares is committed to making a positive impact in communities across the United States through volunteerism and charitable giving. Earlier this year, CIS Cares raised funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint, Michigan, 4 Paws for Ability, Operation at Ease, Adirondack Region Cat Adoption Center (North Shore Animal League), and Homeward Bound Dog Rescue.
