Center for Internet Security and McGann Media Group Make Holiday Donation to Soldiers' Angels
EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., December 9, 2024 — The Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®) and McGann Media Group joined forces to demonstrate their commitment and gratitude toward veteran and active-duty military personnel and their families. Through matching $5,000 donations, the groups donated a total of $10,000 to Soldiers’ Angels Military and Veteran Food Distributions this holiday season.
The joint effort illustrates both organizations' dedication to community support, particularly toward those who have given selflessly to serve our nation. By extending aid during the holiday season, CIS and McGann Media Group aim to reduce food insecurity among those serving or those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
"For many of us, the holidays are a time of food-filled celebrations with loved ones," said CIS President and CEO John Gilligan. "But we must remember those who might not have that luxury. With this donation, we hope to bring some festive cheer to veterans and active-duty military families who are facing hardship."
McGann Media Group echoed this sentiment. "We are proud to partner with the Center for Internet Security in helping Soldiers’ Angels achieve its mission," stated Jamie McGann, President of McGann Media Group. "Through donating money for essential food items, we aspire to provide a memorable holiday season for these deserving families."
Soldiers’ Angels, a renowned nonprofit organization, works tirelessly providing aid and comfort to United States veterans, service members, wounded heroes, and their families. The organization's commitment aligns with the ethos of CIS's mission of making the connected world a safer place for everyone.
“In challenging times like these, acts of kindness remind us that we're all part of a larger community,” said Gilligan.
The donation will support the ongoing food distribution efforts by Soldiers’ Angels in various parts of the country during the holiday season.
