- MS-ISAC membership surveys will be utilized to identify needs.
- The CIS Controls will be considered in identifying product ability to meet goals.
Opportunity Development
Activities that occur during this time may include, but are not limited to:
- Development of vendor selection criteria
- Establishment of product specifications
- Consultations with outside analysts to determine industry leaders
- Arrange contacts with industry leaders
Vendor Outreach
Activities that occur during this time may include, but are not limited to:
- Engagement with identified industry leaders regarding opportunity
- Selection of vendors to participate in live demonstration
Vendor Proposal Review
Activities that occur during this time may include, but are not limited to:
- Review of product offerings by technical representative from CIS
- Evaluation of product offerings by Product Review Board
- Checking of references
- Submission of proposal by vendor to CIS
Vendor Selection and Negotiation
Activities that occur during this time may include, but are not limited to:
- Chosen vendors are contacted.
- Terms and conditions are clarified with chosen vendors.
- Contracts are drawn with chosen vendors.
- Website and marketing strategy are developed for purchasing opportunity.
- Contract approval process is performed.
